Lewiston man sentenced to prison for role in Lockport bank robbery
Source: The Buffalo News, N.儲存Y.Oct. 03--LOCKPORT -- A Lewiston man who said he'd "been given every opportunity in the world but took the wrong path" was sentenced in Niagara County Court on Wednesday for robbing the M&T Bank branch on Walnut and Pine streets in the City of Lockport on March 8.Joseph J. Trusello, 24, of Ransomville Road, pleaded guilty to third-degree robbery July 24 and was sentenced by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas to an indeterminate 2 1/2 to 5 years in state prison and a $375 surcharge. He was also ordered to make $2,500 in restitution to the bank.Trusello had agreed to the plea in July in exchange for a promise to serve his time simultaneously with a violation-of-probation charge from a third-degree bu儲存倉glary Feb. 22. Niagara Falls Judge Mark A. Violante sentenced him to a year in Niagara County Jail and the diversion program, according to his Attorney Alan J. Roscetti.Farkas noted that he had only paid $280 toward $10,000 restitution in the Feb. 22 case and was removed from drug court."He got involved in drugs and couldn't get out," Roscetti told the judge.A second man involved in the March 8 robbery, James M.
